TellyChakkar reached out to the dance group and asked how they started their journey and their most memorable moment.
Tell us about your journey so far.
We left from Haryana. We are 23 members aged 5 to 25. We do acrobatics. We had no place to learn and practice. We used to watch YouTube and learn. Then we decided to open an NGO called D Warrior Squad, where children could come and learn for free.
We didn’t have the proper equipment, but with a lot of dedication and hard work, we reached this position. We decided that we had to show our talent. Then, on social media, we heard about the IGT auditions. We passed the first round and then we were selected. Our promo went viral and our unique ideas worked for us.
Can you share with us your best memory from the show so far?
The best memory for us was when we received the confirmation letter for America’s Got Talent. They saw our performance and told us that we had been selected through the IGT platform. The second would be when Rohit Shetty choreographed the number for us and provided all the equipment. He said they would deliver it to our practice site.
The judges have always been supportive and have always given you positive feedback. Many of your performances left them perplexed. How do you feel when you receive such comments from the judges?
We’re totally overwhelmed with the feedback we’re getting from the judges, and we’ve received the golden buzzer the maximum number of times. It reminds us of our struggle in life and how, with a lot of hard work and dedication, we reached this position.
Well, there’s no doubt Warrior Squad is one of the most talented dance groups out there, and they deserve to be in the finals and win the show.
