The Kings, winners of NBC’s World of Dance.

The show is judged by Jennifer Lopez, among other prominent celebrities.

Season 3 of the popular dance reality TV show, Dance world on NBC, had a surprise winner. The Kings, a hip-hop dance group based in Mumbai, India, were announced the winners of the season. The judges who picked the winners included Jennifer Lopez, rapper Ne-Yo and dancer Derek Hough.

@NBCWorldofDance’s Twitter account announcing the winners hailed the group as #Worldofdance royalty.

The handle posted several clips of the group’s performances on the reality show.

The Kings had stiff competition from several very talented dance groups. While many of their performances dropped the judges’ jaws, it was also the final performance, where the group dressed up as gladiators, that brought them together to seal a victory. It was not only the choreographed movements but also many daring and dangerous and even wrong stunts that made their performance one of a kind.

The band walked away with a super $ 1 million prize. The director and choreographer of the 14-member crew, Suresh Mukund, took to Instagram to express his joy at winning. He wrote: “Tonight is the night that every Indian will remember his whole life and feel proud to see the Indian flag flying high with the perfect score for our stellar performance… The journey of the local dancers to the small ravine of Vasai Nallasopara to the world champions was truly a challenge filled with hard work and endless dedication.

This is an innovative initiative for The Kings, the first Indian group to start competing on the international stage and to receive an invitation from a prestigious international platform. The group is also the very first Indian team to win a bronze medal at the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships in 2015. They rose to fame after the Bollywood film. ABCD was done during their trip.
