There’s no doubt that when it comes to peppy, kick dance numbers, Bollywood music is one of the most popular genres for fans not only in India but around the globe. Now a group of Norwegian dancers are breaking the internet with their sassy take on desi hits.
Performing at a wedding reception, the Quick Style dancers and choreographers added some desi tadka at the festivities, shaking a leg to ‘Kala Chashma’. Groom Suleman Malik, one of the main dancers in the team, was also seen joining his boys on the dance floor, showing off some cool moves.
Dressed in suave suits and sunglasses, the young performers displayed their love for Bollywood music, recreating the hook from the 2018 hit by Baar Baar Dekho. With over 3.5 million views on one of the videos, shared by a dancer on Instagram, the band seem to have set the internet ablaze. So much so that it also received the personal endorsement of the film’s lead actor, Siddharth Malhotra.
As the video continued to win hearts online and netizens clamored for a full version, the dance company shared another clip that instantly melted hearts online. This time, going back to the 90s, the crew was seen dancing their hearts out ‘Chura ke dil mera’, take people back in time.
Recreate the powerful dance moves of Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Akshay Kumar from the 1994 film Principal Khiladi Tu Anari, the men won a thunderous round of applause from on-site guests and Bollywood enthusiasts around the world.
To the band’s credit, what really became the highlight was when Shilpa Shetty Kundra gave them a special shoutout by sharing the video on her Instagram Stories. “That’s what I call a super se upar wala (better than the best) performance,” the actor wrote, praising the dance crew.
People on social media, including celebrities, continued to praise the group, while asking them to do more Bollywood choreography. We can’t wait either!
